Adam, a former college basketball player, current powerlifter, and professor at the University of Wyoming, has combined his passion for improving individuals’ relationships with exercise and nutrition—both in the lab and in practice. He holds state powerlifting records in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee, and brings over eight years of experience coaching clients both in person and online. His clientele ranges from competitive bodybuilders and powerlifters to individuals simply aiming to look, feel, and function better. Adam has also authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts on topics including physique enhancement, muscle physiology, and the psychology of exercise and nutrition adherence.

At the University of Wyoming, Adam’s lab focuses on developing evidence-based practices for coaches and trainers by integrating principles from behavioral economics and psychology with exercise physiology and strength and conditioning. His work is guided by the goal of creating flexible, person-adaptive programming that helps individuals better understand themselves—not only to transform their bodies, but more importantly, their minds—ultimately leading to long-term behavior change.
His experience as an athlete, coach, and researcher has allowed him to understand better the behavioral aspects of sustaining proper nutrition and training for all types of individuals. Adam believes exercise, nutrition, and mental health all need to be considered for overall health improvement. "One of the most important things I can do is help you learn proper health and fitness techniques that allow you to incorporate daily exercise into your life." Adam believes that making each routine functional for clients is key and will allow them to remain successful in the future, no matter their goals.
